About This Course

The overall aim of this Futur(e)ability course is to train HEI Educators in order to allow them to acquire competencies and skills to make online assessments learning more participatory, flexible, and enable the development of critical competencies and skills required in the changing workplace, relevant and interesting. Specifically, the purpose of the Types of assessments for visual arts subjects and disciplines that utilize visual arts methods covered in the assessment course is to capacitate visual Arts Educators and Educators using visual Arts methodologies in teaching, learning and assessments, into using quality online assessments beyond the pandemic. 

During the course, participants will learn about characteristics of good assessments and the different types of assessment and how to apply them in their online, blended and hyflex learning and teaching to promote authentic learning of students and the development of some of the skills mentioned in the European framework; 21st C skills needed in the workplace and graduate attributes of the university.

  • Types of assessments, and under each assessment type, examples used by some of the educators in the FutureAbility Erasmus + project during the Covid-19 Pandemic are provided. These examples are provided as a guide to educators on how to set these types of assessments.
